Hanford Branch Abandoned

In 1958 the Hanford Branch of the New York, Susquehanna & western railroad was torn up between Hanford (just south of Unionville) to Franklin and from Ogdensburg to Beaver Lake. The section from Franklin to the Stirling Hill Mine at Ogdensburg was left in place, but purchased by the Lehigh & Hudson River railroad to serve that mine.
