Nothing Left but Rust

In July of 1966 the Erie Lackawanna abandoned the Sussex Branch. The Last passenger train ran from Branchville to Hoboken on July 10, 1966.

Until 1977 the rusting rails stopped at Andover Junction. During the Summer of that year, they too were removed, and the last remnant of the Sussex Railroad was no more.
