While not a Sussex Branch Station, trains on the Branch
had to stop before proceeding over the L&H diamond because of the
L&H's through line traffic. Therefore, while the L&H ran passenger
traffic, it was no trouble for the Branch trains to treat this as a
station stop.
This station burned down in 1946 and was replaced by
the more modest structure.
