Directions
to Franklin Pond parking area
(Map)
From the North:
Take
Rt. 23 or Rt. 94 South to the intersection at Hamburg. Then take Rt.
94 South to the 2nd traffic light and take the left to Franklin (County
Road 631.) When you cross the bridge, you will take a right turn at
the 'T' in the road. This is still 631. Follow this road past the
Immaculate Conception church, and down the hill past Edison Antiques.
Just as you turn the left bend ion the road there is a small parking
area on the right. Park in a convenient spot.
From the South:
Take
Rt. 15 North to the Franklin/Ogdensburg exit and proceed on Rt. 517
for about 5 miles. At the intersection with Rt. 23, take Rt. 23 North
for about 1/2 mile. At the light by the Mobile station, make a left
onto County Road 631.
Follow Rt.
631 past the pond. Just as you pass the waterfall/dam on the left,
you will see a small parking area along the road. Park in a convenient
spot.
From the East:
Take
Rt. 80 west to Rt. 15 North (exit 34). Take Rt. 15 North to the Franklin/Ogdensburg
exit and proceed on Rt. 517 for about 5 miles. At the intersection
with Rt. 23, take Rt. 23 North for about 1/2 mile. At the light by
the Mobile station, make a left onto County Road 631.
Follow Rt.
631 past the pond. Just as you pass the waterfall/dam on the left,
you will see a small parking area along the road. Park in a convenient
spot.
From the West:
Take
Rt. 80 east to Rt. 15 North. Take Rt. 15 North to the Franklin/Ogdensburg
exit and proceed on Rt. 517 for about 5 miles. At the intersection
with Rt. 23, take Rt. 23 North for about 1/2 mile. At the light by
the Mobile station, make a left onto County Road 631.
Follow Rt.

Take 206
South to Byram. You will pass a large shop-Rite shopping center on the
left, then a car wash. At the light past the junk yard, turn right onto
Waterloo Rd., CR-604. You will pass through a 'stone gate.' Then look
on the right for the packed cinder parking area across from Continental
Dr.
From the South
(Netcong):
Take 206
North. At the light past Acorn Street, turn left onto Waterloo Rd.,
CR-604. You will pass through a 'stone gate.' Then look on the right
for the packed cinder parking area across from Continental Dr.
From the South
(Morristown):
Take Rt.
287 North to Rt. 80 West to 206 North. At the light past Acorn Street,
turn left onto Waterloo Rd., CR-604. You will pass through a 'stone
gate.' Then look on the right for the packed cinder parking area across
from Continental Dr.
From the East:
Take Rt.
80 West to 206 North. At the light past Acorn Street, turn left onto
Waterloo Rd., CR-604. You will pass through a 'stone gate.' Then look

From the West:

From the North:
Take Rt.
206 South through Newton. About 5 miles south of Newton you will pass
a small motel on the right. At the next bend in the road there is an
unpaved parking area on the left.
From the East:
Take Route
80 west to the Rt. 206 North exit. After you go through the Cut-off
tunnel you are in Andover. You will pass an Exxon station on your right.
At the bend in the road there is an unpaved parking area on the right.
From the South
(Morristown):
Take 287
North to Rt. 80 west to the Rt. 206 North exit. After you go
through the Cut-off tunnel you are in Andover. You will pass an Exxon
station on your right. At the bend in the road there is an unpaved parking
area on the right.
From the South
(Netcong):
Take Rt.
206 North. After you go through the Cut-off tunnel you are in Andover.
You will pass an Exxon station on your right. At the bend in the road
there is an unpaved parking area on the right.
From the West:
Take Rt.
80 east to the Rt. 206 North exit. After you go through the Cut-off
tunnel you are in Andover. You will pass an Exxon station on your right.

the South, Morristown:
287
north to Rt. 80 west to Rt. 15 north to 517. Head for Newton. In
Newton, you will pass the Chun Bo Chinese Restaurant, and then the
cemetery on your left, then the freight house, (Station House Plaza)
will be on your
right. Park anywhere legal.
From
the East, New York:
Rt.
80 west to Rt. 15 north to 517. Head for Newton. In Newton, you
will pass the Chun Bo Chinese Restaurant, and then the cemetery

right. Park anywhere legal.

the West:
Rt. 80 east to

About 1/2 mile
down the road there will be an open area for parking on the right.
From the East:

to Augusta

From the East:
Take Interstate
80 West to (Exit 34B) Route 15 North, Follow 15 until it joins Route
206 just beyond Lafayette, New Jersey. Proceed North for one mile to
Augusta Hill road, turn left at the light, and a bare patch will be
on the right a few hundred feet down the road. Please do not completely
block the trail. Park Rangers need access to the trail for patrols in
their vehicles.
From Northern
PA:
Take Interstate
84 East or 209 North to Milford, PA. Cross at the Milford Bridge to
Route 206 South. Proceed South past Branchville, New Jersey to Augusta
Hill road, turn right at the light, and a bare patch will be on the
right a few hundred feet down the road. Please do not completely block
the trail. Park Rangers need access to the trail for patrols in their
vehicles.
From Western
NJ:
Take Route
206 North past Newton, New Jersey and Ross' Corner to Augusta. Turn
left at the light for Augusta Hill road. A bare patch will be on the
right a few hundred feet down the road. Please do not completely block
the trail. Park Rangers need access to the trail for patrols in their
vehicles.
From Southeastern
NJ:
Take the
Garden State Parkway North to Interstate 287 North. Follow 287 to Interstate
80. Proceed West to Exit 34B and Route 15 North. Follow Route 15 until
it joins Route 206 just beyond Lafayette, New Jersey. Continue North
on Route 206 for one mile and turn left at the light onto August Hill
Road. A bare patch will be on the right a few hundred feet down the
road. Please do not completely block the trail. Park Rangers need access
to the trail for patrols in their vehicles.

Take
Interstate 80 West to (Exit 34B) Route 15 North, Follow 15 until it
joins Route 206 just beyond Lafayette, New Jersey. Proceed North for
about three miles to the traffic light across from the Queen of Peace
Catholic church. Turn right and then left onto Broad street. Turn
right onto Railroad Avenue and park in the Branchville Fire House
parking lot. The fire house is on the site where the station stood

PA:
Take
Interstate 84 East or 209 North to Milford, PA. Cross at the Milford
Bridge to Route 206 South. At the intersection of Rt. 206 and Rt.
519, turn left. Take the second left onto Milk street and then right
onto Broad street for a few feet. Turn left onto Railroad Avenue and
park in the Branchville Fire House parking lot. The fire house is
on the site where the station stood
From Western
NJ:
Take
Route 206 North past Newton, New Jersey and Ross' Corner. Proceed
